Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Owner Of Cell Pet Salon In Hillsborough

James Taylor has expressed concern about what happened to his 5-pound dog JUJU last weekend. According to Taylor, a groomer allegedly taped Jujur's mouth shut after being bitten, resulting in the dog being bloody and distressed.

Taylor told the story, "My puppy was in obvious distress. What I initially believed was a mask turned out be tape. Jujur's paws were visibly red and injured, with the toenails cut too close to the paw, which likely provoked his biting reaction."

Puppy Lux - a mobile salon for pets - employed the groomer to perform these actions.

James took Juju straight to the hospital for emergency medical care. He joined a number of others in accusing Puppy Lux for animal abuse. San Mateo's Office has now launched an animal cruelty investigation into Puppy Lux.

James described his observations, saying "I saw wounds in the genital, neck, and near the joints." The wounds were so severe they caused bleeding."

Jack Smithr, customer of Puppy Lux posted a Yelp review detailing the way his pets were returned unwell or injured. One customer posted a Snapchat clip of a dog who appeared to be in distress, alleging that the groomer forced a napkin down its ear.

Puppy Lux, in addition to the bad Yelp reviews and the fact that he was trusted to take care of their pets, wants his customers to know what the groomer said. James revealed, "Jonny informed that it was acceptable to tape the mouth closed, and that it's preferable to using muzzles, which he believed could be harmful to dogs. He also stated that he personally applies this method to his own dog."

Fox contacted Puppy Lux, who answered the phone and handed it to a woman claiming that they were investigating allegations. She quickly responded that Puppy Lux was a separate company here when asked about it, and abruptly ended the call.
